Round Valley in Park City
Snowshoed Round Valley, trail number 49, 3rd trailhead - Old Ranch Road trailhead. The snow was crunchy, but with the new flurries this week it's probably loaded with powder now. I went about 10 am and aside from one woman walking her dog it was complete solitude. The area isn't very pretty, because there are no evergreens, just scrub, but the views ring with a meditative quality that inspires you to stop and ponder. Views of the ski resorts, the ranches spread out below, the mansions and urban sprawl. I recommend it for a nice morning of fresh air, pondering, and exercise.
